The First & Second Amendments –
Rights and Responsibilities
The left doesn’t get it and probably never will. The first amendment doesn’t give you the right to blindly run your mouth. Ask the TV networks who end up settling with Trump for millions of dollars. You can’t yell fire in a crowded movie house, and you can’t slander people without paying the price. You can bring a gun to a protest, but you can’t act like an unhinged lunatic. The comparison between Kyle Rittenhouse and the ICU nurse also doesn’t fly. One was protecting and the other was protesting. One knew what he was doing and the other was unhinged. The left wanted Kyle in prison for the rest of his life, and they think the unhinged maniac is a hero. The left thinks that an Olympic skier representing the USA has a right to trash his country, but those same fascists will corner an old man with a MAGA hat, or key job a car with a Trump bumper sticker on it.
Throw a Judge or Two in Jail!
Is that too much to ask?
Sunday Rant: A message to President Trump, congress, the courts and the American people.
The American people through the dictates of the Declaration of Independence are governed with the understanding that our rights come from God. We are also governed with OUR consent. Lastly, it is not only our right but our DUTY to throw off the old guards after they prove themselves unworthy of our consent.
Our Constitutional rights can only survive if the constitutional process is adhered to, AND the three branches of government function as the founding fathers have envisioned. We know that the executive branch and the legislative will stray from time to time. Our Constitution (and our ability to justify our continued consent) allows for the proper address of grievances, as both branches of the government discussed above are elected on a regular basis (of course election integrity remains pivotal).
However, the judicial branch, the branch that we MUST rely upon to be non-partisan, fair and just, is not elected. They serve life-time appointments, and they must follow the principles of our Constitution and rule with the expectations that we as “WE THE PEOPLE” hold in regard to the administration of justice.
It has become increasingly clear and increasingly concerning that the judicial branch of government has determined themselves above the law, above the constitution, and above the people. I cannot be the only one who is ready to throw off the old guards and provide new ones, for our future security.
I believe that “WE THE PEOPLE” through the results of the latest election” have conveyed to President Trump and congress our mandates. We cannot sit back while unelected federal judges squash our voices and deny citizens their rights to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness, because certain low-level judges don’t like the results of the last election. President Trump THAT WILL NOT DO!!! I hereby call on you to order the arrest of these rogue and unlawful judges immediately. I also order you to demand that congress and the Supreme Court convene as soon as practicable to address the situation.
Thank you – “WE THE PEOPLE”
Thank you, Establishment!
Isn’t this a perfect example?
So, Senator Rob Hutton announced that he’s not running for reelection. But 10 minutes later, Mike Roberts announced he was running for the seat. And of course, Jessica Mc [place whatever name here] and Jimmy P broke the story within seconds. Who’s buying all of that anyone? Bueller? This is the exact type of garbage that people are tired of. Guess what Dr. Roberts? You’ll be earning our support. Just because you’ll have an “R” in front of your name don’t mean shot. Senator Hutton most likely told leadership that he wasn’t running for reelection and leadership then took the opportunity to go find “their guy”. And now guess what? Candidate Roberts will be up against it. He will need everyone on board. Liberal Republicans, moderates, people who lean conservative and all of us “20%ers that I talk about. And now, he’ll need to convince us that he’s not just going to be another Vos/LeMahieu Lacky. NOTE: That last sentence is not directed at Senator Hutton.
Lazy, Shallow Compassion
For those of you wondering why the left’s feel-good sound bites are so effective, it’s because many of those ‘low information” voters fall for the “at the surface” rhetoric. It’s easy to talk about “no human is illegal” or “every child deserves a great school”. Who’s going to argue with that? Fair maps, remember that one? The lazy consumer of political propaganda doesn’t even bother to ask what the hell a fair map is. The lazy propaganda consumer also falls for the welfare is compassion argument. Locking people into generations of dependency on public assistance is the furthest thing from compassion there is. But… Don’t try to tell those who buy into the lazy, shallow rhetoric of the left.
Public Schools are Trying to Blame
Their Own Failures on School Choice.
We recently attended a listening session sponsored by the West Allis Taxpayer’s Association. The “guests of honor” were the West Allis/West Milwaukee School Board and Administration. Property tax was the hot subject because taxpayers found a 30% increase in taxes on their tax bill. The electorate voted for a $70 million dollar referendum plus a $5.8 million-dollar operating referendum. Then, the district went ahead and levied the ENTIRE $325 per student increase that the Ever’s 400-year veto allowed. Some homeowners experienced a massive increase in taxes. During the presentation, the business manager blamed school choice for the tax increase. He said that the state won’t tell him how many students attend choice schools, but the lost students were to blame for the increase. The next day I followed up with a simple question; how many students did you lose through open enrollment. The answer? 1050! Funny that that information was omitted from the presentation.
The following is provided by school Choice Wisconsin – When a student leaves a district for school choice, the district loses state aid for that individual student because it no longer has the obligation to educate that child. However, the district does not lose full spending authority. Districts can still count choice students for revenue-limit purposes or receive non-recurring revenue-limit adjustments, which softens the fiscal impact.
More importantly, it costs taxpayers less to educate a student in a private choice school than in a public school. Choice payments are capped and are lower than per-pupil public school spending, and the program is limited to low-income families. All other private-school families pay tuition themselves. That means choice reduces the total taxpayer burden, it does not increase it.
What districts consistently fail to acknowledge is the much larger driver of property-tax pressure: declining enrollment combined with unchanged or rising spending. In West Allis–West Milwaukee’s case, losing roughly 1,050 students to open enrollment is a significant fiscal issue, yet that loss is rarely emphasized by board members, anti-choice advocates. Open enrollment shifts both students and funding to other public districts, while fixed costs often remain.
Blaming school choice for property tax increases is therefore misleading. Choice students reduce district expenses, are funded at lower levels, and do not force districts to raise taxes. Local spending decisions, enrollment declines, and operational referenda are the real levers affecting property-tax bills.
Districts across Wisconsin have increasingly tried to point to school choice as a scapegoat, but the numbers simply do not support that claim.

Competition results in better products at lower costs. I live in a rural part of the state — internet options are scarce, but lately there have been options. Centurytel was slow and expensive (they had a monopoly). Then Bugtussel came into the neighborhood — they offered higher speed but cost even more. ATT & T-Mobile offered more competition. I called Bugtussel and told them what I was willing to pay, and my bill was cut in half.
Let’s compare that to schools and choice. Parents have a choice — tuition-free public charter schools, magnet schools with specialized curricula (e.g., STEM, arts), private schools, homeschooling, online learning, and microschools. Enrollment is down — families are having fewer children, +++ parents are seeking better alternatives.
If government schools were the best option — why are teachers fleeing government schools?
