Part one – Milwaukee public Schools
David Crowley may be the county exec, but he comes from the city. Assembly District 17, where get your gas during the day and watch out when going through a green traffic light, be sure to look both ways.
Crowley served in the legislature for 4 years and I spent some time in his office. My boss represented a chunk of Milwaukee, and we had some commonsense bills that we were considering. I presented them to him and like all legislators that really don’t want to do anything, he listened, took a copy of the drafts and sent me on my way. I never heard back.
As a matter of fact, he has no clue on what to do about the problems in Milwaukee. Let’s start with the schools and the 1.61-billion-dollar budget. The decline in enrollment has the student population down to 60,390 students (that’s $26,660 per student for all you MPS grads!). Of course, no one will be taught how to read or write. And David Crowley will DO NOTHING except throw more tax dollars at the problem.
NOTE: Mayville Schools will spend $15,858 per student and everyone can read!
Tell me this isn’t at the root of the crime in Milwaukee, which David Crowley has done NOTHING to thwart. Milwaukee continually ranks in the top 10 for violent crimes and also property crimes. The county is in charge of the court system and Crowley has not addressed the main issues.
The only crime solutions he has espoused are a the “soft on crime” policies that favor social workers over police and “therapy” over jail time. Coming up in part two!
David Crowley Part Two– David Crowley Solved World Hunger – And Told No one!
Suddenly David Crowley has all the answers. According to his commercials he has a plan to provide affordable healthcare, nutritional food, and a never-ending supply of affordable housing? Well. Mr. Crowley, where have these solutions been for the decade of your public service career? And a better question is… What are these “plans” that you tout in these commercials? When will our knowledge and understanding be enhanced with the exciting details? So far you have done nothing… Nothing to solve the food desert that has plagued Milwaukee. Nothing to make your streets safer. Nothing to promote housing investment in your city. NOTHING! The people of Wisconsin stand ready to be enlightened!
The Mayor of New Berlin –
How many issues are in play here?
The Mayor of New Berlin, Dave Ament, has been under fire for sharing posts on Facebook that some are describing as “attacks on Muslims (the untrustworthy local media are adding that the posts were also misogynistic, too bad we can’t email them a sense of humor). Others are calling the posts just the simple truth. The posts created a firestorm (limited of course to the woke community) people flooded the City Council meeting and the Mayor apologized.
Is it complicated? Life is complicated. Let’s start with the first amendment. But first a quick note.
NOTE: I have not read the posts in question. I have messaged the mayor but have not heard back as of yet. I cannot opine on the merits of the posts or their appropriateness, but I certainly will weigh in on the issue.
The mayor DOES HAVE 1st amendment rights and that is the final answer. However, I have the freedom to speak out as harshly as I want about my boss but could soon be out of a job. Jelly Roll (who won’t be getting a once of support from me) also has those same rights of free speech. And we have the right to refrain from buying his concert tickets. The mayor is subject to the same reaction everyone else is. And he is in a very tight spot here. I have many people right now asking me to speak up, although only one of them spoke up at the meeting. It turns out a good friend and supporter of the WCD was the lone voice of reason.
Although I’m limited by the fact that I have not seen the posts, I’m willing to go out on a limb and say the mayor thinks that the large influx of Muslims into the United States is a problem. I agree. The Islamic faith calls for Sharia Law and Sharia Law IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH OUR CONSTITUTION!!! Someone want to debate that? Let’s have at it!!!! Furthermore, as the number of Muslims grows, their desire to practice Sharia Law grows. And I’m not going to listen to any “we’re all immigrants” arguments from a bunch of woke Karen’s.
We all came here to LOVE America, not to change it. Not only do they want to change it, but their sole purpose can only be to destroy it. We CANNOT LET THAT HAPPEN.
NOTE: We all see the hypocrisy here. Colin Kraper-ass can kneel for the anthem and he’s a hero, but Sophie Cunningham can’t point out the obvious without serious backlash! Schools won’t let young people mention Jesus, but they will remove bacon from the school lunch menu. How long will we tolerate it? Let’s take a vote, and I vote, we sit back NO LONGER! We will need to get loud; we will need to defend our positions in the public forum and articulate our message.
Sharia Law, part of the Islamic faith, is intolerant and tramples on the Constitution of the Untied Stated, plain and simple.
Back to free speech and the mayor.
If the posts were posts that pointed out that bacon is as American as mom & apple pie, or ALL female citizens in America enjoy the same freedoms as men (etcetera, etcetera) then hooray for Mr. Ament! BUT… Then why the hell is he apologizing?
Is it because he found himself alone? Because he said, on his personal Facebook page what we all agree on, but yet when push came to shove, no one was there? I don’t know. I heard about the situation while it was happening. I wasn’t there. That comes to another source of contention, and I include myself in the criticism. Where the HELL have we been on this topic.
Jesse Watters just took Abdul El-Sayed (the Michigan Senate Candidate) to task over Sharia Law. It’s a problem and it needs to be addressed.
NOTE: My good friend Ali HAS been all over the issue!! She brought in Lara Logan, she brought in Kevin Hermening, she has introduced us to women like Myra Geraldson, who have escaped the horrible practice that we know as Sharia Law! On October 17th, Ali is hosting a prayer breakfast with Hanifa Nakiryowa, a women’s rights activist from Uganda who survived an acid attack. For those of you not getting our emails go to WCDigest.com and sign up!
Meanwhile, someone please share the posts from the mayor with me (privately if you wish) so that I can formulate a better position. Meanwhile, mayors shouldn’t be posting anything they can’t or won’t defend. I certainly don’t.
In closing, I’ll freely admit, I don’t exactly know what to do about the situation. But I know what we can’t do… And that’s to sit back and do nothing. That includes making sure the mayor knows we are here.
Sunday Rant – Unity is RPW’s Job
Can we get going on that?
I’ve been having so many conversations about unity lately that it’s time we clear a few things up. For starters I need to clear up my own role in the process. I recently requested an emergency meeting with Bob Dohnal, my boss, and the publisher of the WCD. I needed to clarify my job duties because I did not think that my job description includes doing Brian Schimming’s job. It turns out I was right. My job is to report the facts and offer commentary based on my decades of experience at the Capitol. Whew! I thought I was a goner!
Brian Schimming, Robn Vos, and the likes of Mary Felzkowski have driven the Republican Party into the ground. A good friend of mine recently won his primary election to the Assembly. He said he had to modify his approach while knocking on doors. He learned that it was better to tell folks he was “Conservative” because “Republican” seems to be a dirty word in conservative areas of the state (and I imagine in most areas).
There’s a twist here. Conservative is just another word for the “Republican platform” which is a conservative platform. How many times do I need to say it? The Republican base is Pro-Life, pro-business, pro-personal responsibility, less taxes and less government. WE AREN’T GETTING ANY OF THAT!!! Yeah – Even the tax cut they got came only by raising spending by 30%!
I have already posted about the RPW’s stupid endorsement policies. Friday, I posted the following.
“I got a message from an RPW Board member asking me to give money to Jay Schroeder. Jay has no money for signs and literature from what I was told. It wasn’t the usual type of fundraising ask. The message was directed at me, HOT government, and some county GOP’s that did not support Nate Pollnow. The message CLEARLY implied that Pollnow lost because the WCD, HOT Government and others did not support the “endorsed candidate”! Yes, they are still holding onto the idea that Pollnow was endorsed. Lol!
Ok then, here’s the deal. The message said Jay needs $20K for signs and lit. But the Wisconsin Young Republicans gave Pollnow $20K late June and Pollnow returned it mid-July! So… Will these Young Republicans, Mathew Jansen and Nik Rettinger (the two listed for the group) donate that $20K for the ACTUAL nominee? – Unity my friends!!!! UNITY” …
The screenshot I attached showed RPW giving Pollnow just under $13K and both Diane Hendricks and the Wis. Young Republicans each giving Pollnow $20K.
During the primary, I repeatedly asked RPW members to “string three coherent sentences together on why we should vote for Nate Pollnow.” No one ever answered. I’ve been asking Brian Schimming for years to defend the “support the incumbent” mantra coming out of the RPW. The RPW policy is to support these incumbents no matter what their track record is. What???? Guess what endorsing Pollnow and “supporting” [automatically] the incumbents have in common. Neither of these stupid ideas can be defended, and Schimming (and the rest) knows it. Who in their right mind would hire someone and never assess their performance? Anyone. Bueller? This is how you get $114 billion budgets, this is how we became one of the worst states in the union to do business.
So… In the 5th Senate district, there’s a candidate that I think is going to be horrible. I think this person has already become a puppet and although he will be “better” than the democrat running, the democrat will serve for four years and there will be an opportunity to run a good candidate. If Mike Roberts wins, we will have a bad Republican in there for what could be 20 or 30 years because under the current RPW policy, incumbents cannot be challenged. Yeah, stupid is as stupid does Mr. Schimming.
NOTE: Rest assured that any elected official that doesn’t “go along to get along” with the swamp, like Brandtjen, Wichgers, Brill and Jacque will NOT be automatically supported. Rules for thee but not for me.
NOTE: I’ve noticed a hit ad against Jim Croft the republican running for senate down in the Racine area. The ad is despicable to say the least (landlords are easy targets, it seems tenants are never responsible for anything). What I realized is that there are two groups that run dirty and dishonest ads. Democrats against Republicans in the general election, and the Republican swamp against Conservatives in the primary.
Back to the 5th Senate District – I sensed something wrong when Hutton announced his intention not to run at 10am and Roberts announced his intention to run at 10.05am. The fix was in and the voters were robbed of a primary where several candidates would have made “their case” and the people would be able to choose their candidate. Another bullcrap tactic that needs to stop. You’d think now that the RPW’s “preferred” candidates got humiliated that they would
Let’s get back to my job description…. My job is to use my 25 years of sitting across the table from elected officials and listening to their excuses of why they have to vote for bad bills and seeking advice on how to defend themselves at home, and sort through the nonsense. Many of them don’t even go to their local party functions anymore. I’ve also sat across the table with some stand-up people.
I can tell who will fight and who will fold. Tom Tiffany is a stand-up guy. Very few people have been able to sit across from me and give me honest answers while looking me in the eye. Very few. Tom Tiffany is one of those.
Meanwhile, it would go a long way for RPW to admit that serious changes are needed ASAP. One would think that after the humiliating defeat of their “endorsed candidates” they would have a “come to Jesus’ moment”. – They have not and let’s not hold our breath.
David King Should Get on Board with Team Tiffany –
For those of you under the age of forty, I’ve worked with David King on family issues before you graduated from high school. Unlike David Crowley, Dr. King understands the underlying issues in Milwaukee. 82% of black children have no father listed on their birth certificate and the toxic welfare state has pushed many men out of the home. Many men feel denied of their rightful spot as provider, protector, and patriarch of the family and community. If my memory serves me correctly, Dr. King was particularly concerned about the overreaching state social services community that intervenes between parents and their children.
NOTE: At the time Don Pridemore was chair of the Assembly Committee on Children and Families, I was the clerk. I remember Pridemore fighting back hard on “mandatory home visits” for inner city parents before they could bring their newborn baby home. I Am NOT making this up! The breakdown of the family is, what I believe, the root problem in all of our major cities. Crime, poverty and education can all be traced back to the destruction of the family unit.
Dr. King has an opportunity here to be a MAJOR force in improving the lives of hundreds of thousands of people living in the City of Milwaukee, but he has no chance of being governor (this time around). Even if he were on the ballot, the underfunded third-party choice has no chance. Sorry, I’m as fed up with the GOP as anyone.
Dr. King, who is a member of the John Birch Society, is running against Tom Tiffany who has a 95%+ freedom score from JBS! Tom Tiffany is the real deal and joining Team Tiffany is the one chance I mentioned for Dr. King. We are going to need Dr. King to be part of the team that sets Milwaukee in the right direction. Real change and positive reform won’t happen under Crowley and David King knows that.
NOTE: On June 20th, I posted about Dr. King and the WCD’s shared disdain for the RPW. But we are not the RPW, we are just trying to make a positive difference for our children, grandchildren, and all future generations. Let’s get on board!
I’m told, and I DO NOT doubt, that the Reverend Dr. David King (I love the ring to that!) will take away as many if not more votes from Crowley than Tiffany. That is not the point. The point is that this is a fight between good and evil, and we need all hands-on deck! The message has to be loud, and the message has to be clear. “We can no longer sit back and watch the destruction of our families, our faith, and our futures while those who would sell out America for a secular, global wasteland profit from the pain and suffering of humanity gain power.” It’s time to “Rise Up”.
If we all have the same goal, we need to all be on the same team – America first IS family first. There is no other path forward.
