Let’s Talk Adoption!
We have already discussed abortion to the point of just repeating the same lines over and over again. We need to continue messaging that life, all life, has value and for those of us that believe that life begins at conception, we need to convince others that all abortion goes against God’s law. In the meantime, Wisconsin remains one of, if not the hardest state in the union to adopt a child. We need to fix that. Legislators like Senator Andre Jacque have been working on legislation to address the problem. Easing the crippling restrictions on adoption and lowering the hurdles would go a long way to saving babies. Other positive changes that can be made is encouraging young women to view their baby via an ultrasound. That puts a completely different perspective in the minds and hearts of a mother. Of course, God Bless President Trump for going after the Planned Parenthood funding!
From Facebook:
Bill’s Sunday Rant: I’ve been meaning to address this for a while. This might sound harsh or unkind, but these posts where we can “disagree and still be friends” I have to call into question. We can disagree whether Paul was a better songwriter than John, or whether the Rolling Stones are the best band of all time, and we can still be friends. But we can’t disagree on whether you should be performing life-changing surgeries on children or whether the taxpayers should be paying for sex change operations for prisoners and illegals and be friends. And we can’t disagree on whether Kamala Harris would’ve been a better president and still be friends. Because if you think that all these things I’ve just mentioned are OK you are either dumb as a box of rocks or you hate your country. Either way you’re off my list. 🙂.
What’s a Moderate Anyway?
Conservatives are not extremists. There is nothing extreme about personal responsibility, reducing a bloated government and allowing people to keep a larger portion of their hard-earned money. There is nothing extreme about pro-life and being pro 2nd amendment. And in light of these revelations the word “moderate” scares the hell out of me.
Sometimes people change their positions – Sometimes they don’t:
Politicians who jockey for photo ops have always been one of my peeves. This is the worst kind –
I’ve seen quite a few people modify their positions, switch alliances and follow a different path. Generally speaking, they live, learn, and grow. This isn’t one of those times. I recently posted a picture of a group of politicians on stage at an event memorializing Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk. I was especially critical of Jim Piwowarczyk and Barb Dittrich who are not friends or supporters of Turning Point’s mission to share a conservative message and help to elect conservatives to office. As a matter of fact, Jim P is vocal critic of the group, since he is a staunch supporter of Robin Vos, who is the exact opposite of Charlie Kirk. Neither of them belonged on that stage. I also see Scott Walker and Rebecca Kleefisch running towards the stage upon more than a few occasions during Vigil’s and memorials for Charlie. Suddenly all these politicos are interested in getting their picture taken with the memory of someone whose mission they didn’t share, or at least, did not go out of their way to support. So, what changed? Let me be frank – nothing changed with the exception that it is now politically advantageous to get their picture taken with the memory of Charlie Kirk.
NOTE: There is some evidence that Jim Piwowarczyk and his daughter Jenna have fought against a Turning Point chapter at Concordia University where Jenna is president of the Young America’s Foundation (YAF). No one can deny that neither the RPW nor the elites that run the “Republican” political machine wants competition from any group that won’t kowtow to the commands of the elites that run the party. But I’ll leave it to the reader to make up their own minds.
I’m not the only one who is noticing, but I am the only one saying it. It would be nice if we had more leaders that had the courage to stand up for conservative movements while they were gaining momentum, and not after they became politically safe or expedient.
The Other Wes Moore
Wes Moore, the author, understood the life and challenges of black youth living in crime ridden areas, dealing drugs, and their feelings of both helplessness and worthlessness. The purpose of writing this book review and spending such a large amount of time on it is to help us understand both Wes Moore the author, and “The other Wes Moore”. One has to openly wonder how somebody who escaped poverty in the streets of Baltimore and New York, who was sent to military school, became a Rhodes scholar, got involved in sports, was promoted to leadership roles, who then went on to write a book about somebody who didn’t make those same choices and ended up in prison for life, doesn’t “get it”. Wes Moore the author, who understands all the obstacles of the streets, who now is a governor, is clueless on how to help that very community in which he once was a part of. It’s mindboggling to say the least. Baltimore is a sewer, but Wes Moore would rather see another generation of black youths end up like the “Other Wes Moore” than provide a safe, drug free community with good schools and business investment. And God forbid, work with Donald Trump to fix it.
The Other Wes Moore – Chapter 7 – Wes Moore, the author, has gotten through the toughest part of military school, the cadet stage, and he is now in a leadership role and one of the youngest officers on campus. Interestingly enough on page 131 he talks about how the military didn’t discriminate. Everything was based on merit and that it was beneficial to him and other people of color. Hmmm. I think I remember hearing about “merit” somewhere. Unfortunately, one does not survive in today’s Democrat Party talking about merit. Meanwhile the “other Wes Moore” with four kids and two baby mamas entered into the Jobs Corps (chapter 7). He was set to get a GED and an apprenticeship to be a boiler repairman. Chapter 7 ends with the “Other Wes Moore” back to cooking up some coke.
Just a few more chapters to go, but we all know how this ends don’t we?
