Well, its official RFK Jr. has flipped the Food Pyramid, a victory in a step towards solving the nation’s obesity crisis.
There is no denial America has plenty of issues that seem to continue nonstop due to the political forces that are either stalled in the decisions that need to be made or those lobbied to maintain the status quo in a game of manipulation to keep the problems advancing.
Now that the Food Pyramid has been flipped what other actions can be taken to flip the problems of our upside down?
First idea, a nationwide ban on pornography. Is it extreme absolutely in age where sexual harassment, assaults and other crimes are skyrocketing one should ask how much better we would be when we learn to respect one another better and see our fellow citizens for who they are “a child of God” instead of watching media exposing women and men as nothing but objects for pleasure. How much safer and healthier would we be and could we learn to love again?
Second idea, a federal ban on abortion and reroute every tax dollar sent to an abortion provider to a women’s care center. Could we imagine how many lives would be saved and how many families would be off to a better start? How great would our nation be if not clouded in the darkness of murdering our own unborn children?
Third idea, a new code planting moral barriers in our entertainment industries. There was a code years ago called the Hays Code and coincidentally it was in effect during the Golden age of Hollywood and Television. The boundaries of our media continue to be pushed under the excuses of Progressivism and Freedom of Speech and at this point nothing to show for it. To return to making true artistic and wholesome entertainment again we must understand the moral boundaries with the realms of the ten commandments that keep our entertainment in check. How great would it be if we would not have to look over our children’s shoulders monitoring what they are watching so often.
Fourth idea, a federal ban on IVF and a great emphasis/reform on adoption or an encouragement to welcome the unparented children of our society into a loving home. So many couples struggle to conceive and see IVF as an answer despite the immorality and controversies involved. Wouldn’t it be great if the 400,000 children in the foster care system would have a family and a place to call home. To expand on this idea why not take the funding of IVF and give duffle bags to the children and fund adoption services where the cost of adoption would be a lot more affordable.
Fifth idea, the elimination of the department of education plus all nationwide tests and begin allowing the states and communities to determine what is best for their students in the field of education and begin competing with one another to see what ideas would work better in preparing students for the world. A student in California cannot learn the same as one in Georgia. Allowing the freedom of states and communities to focus on the needs of their students instead of trying to hold them up to a nationwide standard.
Sixth idea, the elimination of the free lunch program and order communities to come up with ways to provide healthier meals while banning boxed meals and sugary drinks. There’s been plenty of films such as “Super-Size Me” and “Fed Up” that have exposed the lack of quality in the meals of our nation’s schools, yet nothing has been done. What if we had a competition nationwide, of school districts making homemade meals using local resources with a nice prize and media attention given to the winner.
Seventh idea, the elimination of Obamacare and the beginning of healthcare pools where money monthly are put into a group IRA style pot where the encouragement to be healthy and responsible with our bodies would be encouraged by offering more coverage of expenses based on a person’s weight, results from a yearly physical and choosing to give blood and other generous activities to improve the health of others.
Eighth idea, term limits with longer house terms. Term limits have been discussed for years with nothing done, not even a written bill. So, what if, a one-term limit in the senate and a three-year term with a two-term limit in the house be enacted? How much more would get done when every 2 years is not an election year for congress and would keep power and influence within limits.
Ninth idea, take sex education out of the public schools and leave it to the families and churches to have some of the most important and intimate discussions at the most crucial times of teenagers’ lives. How much better of a society would it be if teenagers learn to respect and honor the act of love and see relationships lead to marriage and family instead of all the negative feminist influences demonizing love?
Tenth idea, instead of listening to activists and politicians about reform within the nation’s prison system, those in charge of the system should take notes from those who work inside the prison, notably the guards. How much of a difference would it make if those who must work directly with the prisoners on a daily basis can have a larger voice in what works and what doesn’t.
Eleventh idea, allow immigrants/defectors from oppressive regimes who came here legally such as Yeonmi Park speak at jr. high and high schools to discuss how many opportunities and freedoms they have here and what life was like in the nations they risked their lives to leave. It seems a lot of the younger generations don’t appreciate living in America and though we have our challenges and aren’t perfect maybe we’ve had it too good for so long that we need a wake up call in why our nation is great and given a new drive to rebuild our nation from within.
Twelfth idea, give a tax credit to families who start an at birth an IRA style college savings account with interest accumulation that with some contribution will amount to a sum that can be used when the child turns 18 with a diploma or GED for a college, blue collar training or needed support when entering the workforce. Will this solve the trillion-dollar student loan crisis? No, but it will be an incentive to encourage families to have a small lockbox of savings for their children to get support when entering adulthood.
Thirteenth idea, roll back some regulations on childcare restrictions to allow local stay at home moms to help watch and take care of other neighborhood children without so many legalities and a W2 form. When I was growing up, I was watched by a stay-at-home mom who watched a lot of children for only $2 an hr. for a little extra income but also understanding the importance of the difference she was making in the lives of the families around her. She wasn’t licensed but she knew all the families in the area from growing up there and proved herself to be a great asset in the community for those who couldn’t afford daycare. Does this sound controversial, maybe but the truth of the matter is daycare centers are over stretched, very expensive and a dangerous risk for our children in places like New York where the government is trying to take over them. If a mother can’t always be with her child wouldn’t the safer option be with a local mother who is known within the community?
Fourteenth idea, a tax credit given to a married household between a man and woman with a stay-at-home mom and an additional credit for every child born. Not every woman wants to work while leaving their child in the care of someone else. There is power in rocking the cradle and to improve our society the stronger the family the stronger and healthier our nation will be.
Fifteenth idea, shrink the tax code down to a certain number of pages and replace taxes on gasoline, healthy food and other necessities and replace those taxes with taxes on items like soda pop, candy and other products that have been proven to be dangerously impacting the health of our nation. No one wants to hear about raising taxes but let’s face it we’re trillions of dollars in the red and taxes are a part of life but one should ask what should be taxed or what industry deserves to pay more in taxes after all the cigarette tax has only increased in decades and the cases of cancer from smoking has decreased.
Sixteenth idea, pressure Hollywood to end the woke and LGBT nonsense and to embrace inclusion through original storytelling and strong characters that include actors with physical/mental disabilities or from unprivileged diversified backgrounds. After all films like “The Princess and the Frog” and “Run” proved popular not for the diversity alone but for the stories and quality.
Seventeenth idea, make a constitutional amendment declaring marriage between a man and a woman. This may get some hate, but the truth is marriage is between a man and a woman and is the healthiest of families for children to grow up in. If America is to improve within and become a true Christian nation again, we must pressure our government to recognize the foundation of humanity the way God created us to be.
Eighteenth idea, role back housing regulations and eliminate property tax. If there is one right that should be added to the constitution it is “the right to land purchased”. The crisis facing young people in buying a home should not be that difficult yet today demand with limited supply due to over regulation has led to a crisis in affordable housing. The American Dream as it is called for so many involves owning a home, planting seeds within a community to raise a family and develop generational wealth. How great would it be if the regulations were rolled back and the property tax was eliminated so if times got tough a family could keep their land?
Nineteenth idea, age limits in public service. Experience is important yet how old is too old and at what age determines when a public servant will no longer care about the impact of decisions made down the road 30 years or so when the chances of them living to see the results become slimmer and slimmer. Public Servants like John Lewis and John Mcain spent decades in office and died in office with nothing to show for. One should ask when is it an appropriate time to pass the torch to the next generation?
Twentieth idea, cut in benefits and lobbying to state and federal public servants. Since when is it appropriate for a public servant to enrich themselves supposedly serving us? Maybe more would get accomplished and more qualified candidates would get elected when there would be less goodies given to the public servants and more consequences for their actions.
Twenty-first idea, celebrate election day as a federal holiday and shut the polls off 2 weeks early. If the banks, post office and schools can close for Martin Luther King Jr. Day or Christopher Columbus Day, then why can’t they close for Election Day. Voting is a privilege, not a right and the low turnout in this country shows how little we appreciate the sacrifice so many soldiers have laid down their lives for so that we may have the privilege to vote. What if for 2 weeks the polls were shut off before election day and a grand celebration of how powerful of a privilege we have in deciding who represents us would impact not just the turn out but would bring us to start campaigning harder both for who usually wouldn’t have a chance at winning and a greater pressure on the issues we face.
Twenty-second idea, for every negative fact taught about America in school, a positive fact is taught on the subject. The younger generations of America have turned against America, no surprise when they are bombarded with every negative aspect of our past. America is not perfect, but it is the greatest as America has never had a mass exodus and never will. What if for every negative issue such as slavery is brought up the students are then reminded of the hundreds of thousands of Union Soldiers who gave their lives to put an end to slavery? Would we regain appreciation for our country? Would we as a society find the inner strength to fight for an end to the legalized murder of the unborn and end the legalized genocide darkening America?
Twenty-third idea, get politics out of unions. Unions have had their place in American History and will always have a place for this who believe in that form of representation and use it well. Yet it is no denial unions today have done little to benefit the workers or the nation when the political influence gets in the way of unions true purposes. Would unions find their place again when the corruption from politics is removed and the average person organizes and works with the companies without the influence of politicians?
Twenty-fourth idea, a requirement within the government for a yearly balanced budget. Our founding fathers feared two things, most deficits and powerful political parties. Well, the greatest danger is the deficit the younger generations will have to pay back. Neither side is publicly discussing or admitting to the grave issue at hand. Few even questions a politician about what will happen when the loaner of the trillions we have borrowed shut us off and demand it all back. Both sides are guilty of this crisis and the cuts in spending and what will be done to pay it all back will be painful, yet the weight of the deficit will one day collapse and no one has a clue what the devastation will look like.
Twenty-fifth idea, medical students CAN’s on up are required to perform services for the elderly as a graduation requirement. Our birth rates have plummeted, and social security has destroyed the neighbor helping neighbor’s mentality leaving millions of senior citizens in a state of dependence on facilities with declining quality in care. One way to help relieve this crisis is to assign medical students to earn credits for their degrees with possible financial assistance to their loan costs by providing the services they are taught to the elderly in the care facilities. There is no easy way out, yet one should ask if their experience would help those in the medical field start championing the birth of more children and fight the corruption of high costs from within?
Twenty-sixth idea, limits on non-profits CEO salaries, limits on the marketing spent and a ban on political donations from nonprofits. There are so many non-profits in this country and yet other than marketing and talk not much can be shown for their existence. Some are better than others, but it is time to put them in their place and remove political influence from them. If non-profits want to run that is great but a non-profit should be seen as more than just a tax status and it is time they are corrected.
Twenty-seventh idea, payment plans on bailouts for financial institutions, imagine how much more responsibility and much less federal debt there would be if financial institutions had to pay us back every time we the taxpayers bail them out financially.
Twenty-eighth idea, a memorial built upon every former abortion provider location. It’s obvious here in America we are reminded of the negativity of the past daily. Wouldn’t it make sense that we are reminded about the cultural genocide by seeing memorials honoring all the lives loss to the human sacrifice know as abortion.
Twenty-ninth idea, a ban on transgender/gender switching surgeries on all federal funded programs and health insurance policies. Imagine the money saved on our health insurance costs when policies no longer cover irrational/not needed surgeries.
Thirtieth idea, a federal protection on gun manufactures in protecting from liabilities in the aftermath of a shooting. States can have all the laws they want over guns yet where is the rationality to punish a manufacturer when they did not directly sell the firearm or pull the trigger?
These ideas may not happen quick or even straight from this list. Yet these ideas are not impossible or wrong. We are a smart nation that has done more than any other nation in the history of the world. We are smart people and we can rebuild America within and become a better nation. The question is what will we do to improve America? Will we challenge our representatives by changing the status quo, running for office ourselves or will we choose to live better lives and raise our families to champion these ideas and values?
For decades in America, we have been liberated to the point where we have become a dark pagan nation. The question must be asked what freedoms are we meant to have, what is the difference between the pursuit of happiness and pursuit of pleasure and what barriers in our society need to be placed in a conservative way for the better of America’s citizens and its soul/foundation?
